During Production Inspections (DPI) are conducted while the product is in production. The DPI can detect non-conformities at an early stage, helping to avoid rework on entire lots of cargo. This process saves both time and costs for the customer and the supplier. Typically, the inspection is conducted when 20% to 30% of production is completed.
The inspector will conduct the inspection on the following aspects:
● Raw materials
● Components assembled into the product
● Packaging materials
● Marking and labeling
● Product construction
● Manufacturing processes
● Production capabilities
● Semi-finished products
● Testing of the final products
● Additionally, the inspector will take all necessary photos.
Typically, the following items are included in Weinspection's DPI inspection report:
● Merchandise information
● Production status
● Packing details
● On-site testing conducted
● Measurement data
● Workmanship (raw materials, components, and final products)
● Marking and labeling
● Product specifications
● Special requirements from the customer
● Inspection photos
All defects are explained and clarified to the factory representative.
A draft report is issued to the factory once the inspection is completed. Weinspection guarantees that the formal report will be delivered to the customer within 24 hours of the inspection's completion. Corrective actions may be required from the customer to the factory after reviewing the DPI report.
